SUPERIOR -- The Lake Superior Sea Dogs defeated the Grand View Tigers, 26-0, in an Upper 13 League baseball game at Morrie Arnovich Field on Sunday, June 13. The game was called in the middle of the seventh inning due to the 10-run rule.

Anthony Bush (1-0, 0.00 ERA), Jake Lewis, and Isaac Fugere combined on the two-hit shutout. Bush worked the first four innings for the win. He allowed one hit and had two strikeouts. Lewis allowed one hit and had six strikeouts in two innings of relief, and Fugere struck out the side in the seventh. The Sea Dogs' pitchers did not issue any walks.

A six-run first inning was followed by a five-run third. The Sea Dogs plated a run in the fourth for a 12-run lead, and scored seven each in the fifth and sixth.

Ben Rhodes led the way, batting 4-for-6 with a double, three runs, and four RBI. Conner Fonger and Seth Anderson had two hits apiece, and Alex Busick had three runs and three RBI. Matt Johnson, the courtesy runner for the catcher, scored five runs, while Mitch Kruger had three runs.

Lake Superior is now 3-1 in the Upper 13 League and Grand View is 0-4.
