WASHBURN, Wis. -- The Lake Superior Sea Dogs completed an Upper 13 League doubleheader shutout sweep of the Washburn Lumberjacks with a 14-0 win in Game 2, shortened to five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Eli Tintor and Jake Lewis hit home runs in the Sea Dogs' seven-run first inning. Tintor's was a two-run blast and Lewis connected for a three-run dinger. Lake Superior had six hits in the first frame.

The 'Dogs added a run in the third when Don Miller led off with a walk, took second when Peter Atiemo walked, advanced to third on a fielder's choice by Lewis, and scored on an RBI fielder's choice by Joey Zwak.

A six-run fourth cemented the 10-run-plus lead. The inning's highlights included a three-run home run by Michael Karp and a two-run double by Zwak.

Seth Anderson (2-0 W-L, 1.71 ERA) picked up the win by pitching the first four innings. He allowed two hits and had two strikeouts. Anthony Bush pitched the fifth inning and allowed one hit and had two strikeouts. The pitchers combined on a three-hitter with no walks allowed.

Blake Bergquist batted 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI to lead the Sea Dogs. Zwak was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs, and three RBI. Karp and Lewis also had three RBI. Miller scored three runs.

David Barningham hit a double for Washburn.

Losing pitcher Kyle Wallace allowed nine runs (eight earned) on five hits and four walks in two and one-third innings.
