PARK FALLS, Wis. -- The Duluth-Superior Dukes took the second game of the Upper 13 League doubleheader against the Chequamegon Cardinals on Sunday by a score of 6-2, as both teams wrapped up their regular-season schedules. Anthony Bush and Jesse Olson combined on a four-hitter.

Bush (5-0 W-L, 1.67 ERA), allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks in five innings for the win. He had five strikeouts. Olson threw two shutout innings on one hit and no walks with two strikeouts for the save. Bush, back on the mound after taking a line drive off the chest in Friday's loss to Spooner, tied the Dukes' club record for wins in a season. He and Olson each had five wins during the 2012 campaign.

Chequamegon struck first with two runs in the bottom of the second inning, but Duluth-Superior scored three in the third to take the lead. The Dukes added two insurance runs in the sixth and one in the seventh.

Corey Pavlich, Travis Bartlett, and Trenton Moe were all 2-for-4 for the Dukes. Pavlich and Moe had one RBI apiece and Bartlett had two doubles and two RBI. Jimmy Merling scored two runs, one by stealing home in the fifth.

Losing pitcher Don Weiner allowed four earned runs on 10 hits and four walks in seven innings. He had five strikeouts.

Caleb Armstrong was 2-for-3 with a run for the Cardinals, who tallied a 6-6 W-L mark in Upper 13 League play.

Duluth-Superior finished the regular season with an 11-1 record in the Upper 13 League (14-7 overall). The Dukes set club records for league wins in a season and overall wins in a season. While the Dukes have posted winning records in the Upper 13 League for four consecutive seasons (35-13 W-L in that span), the 2015 season marks the first overall winning record in the club's nine-year existence.

The teams will meet again next Saturday in the Upper 13 League tournament, also at Park Falls.
