HIBBING -- The Hibbing Miners defeated the Duluth-Superior Dukes, 4-1, in a non-league amateur baseball game Saturday at Al Nyberg Field. The loss snapped the Dukes' seven-game win streak.

Winning pitcher Pat Anderson allowed one unearned run on five hits and no walks with six strikeouts in six innings. Colin Moberly, the Miners' fourth pitcher, earned the save with a scoreless ninth. He allowed two hits and had two strikeouts. Hibbing's Trevor Bernsdorf was 3-for-5 with three runs.

Jake Lewis (0-1 W-L, 2.45 ERA) allowed one earned run on nine hits and no walks in seven and two thirds innings. He had 10 strikeouts. Jon Soto and Adam Palan had three hits each, and Trenton Moe added two hits.

The Dukes are now 7-4 overall (5-0 in the Upper 13 League). They travel to Hayward on Wednesday for a non-league game against the Hawks. The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Larry Somerville Field.
