SOLON SPRINGS, Wis. -- The St. Croix Ravens defeated the Proctor Padres in a non-league baseball game at Solon Springs Public Ballpark. St. Croix jumped to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on four hits, one walk and three Proctor errors. St. Croix added a run in the third inning on two walks, a sacrifice bunt and an RBI groundout. The Ravens tacked on another run in the fourth inning on a lead-off triple and an RBI single.

Proctor scored a run in the top of the second on singles by Bob Baxton, Noah Hobbs and [Zack Bauers] and an RBI groundout by Anthony Bush. Proctor scored a run in the fifth on a single by James Ostrander and an RBI double by Matt Chruscielski, and the Padres scored one run in the eighth on singles by Kevin Schubert and Corey Pavlich and an error on a fielder's choice. Proctor pounded out 13 hits, but left 13 runners on base.

Bush (0-2, 2.40 ERA, 15.0 IP) took the loss. He allowed four earned runs on 10 hits and four walks in seven innings. He had three strikeouts. In the first inning, Bush recorded his 100th strikeout as a member of the Proctor Padres, becoming the first Padres pitcher to reach the milestone. He now has 11 strikeouts this season, 102 as a member of the Padres, and 188 in his amateur career. Bush played for the Bayside Vipers from 1996-2006 before becoming a charter member of the Padres in 2007.

Baxton retied the side in order in the eighth, with two strikeouts.

Proctor is now 1-2 this season and 0-6 against St. Croix since 2007. They host the Port Wing Boilers in a non-league game on Sat., May 15, at 3:00 p.m. It will be the Padres' first game at their new home field, UMD's Bulldog Park.
