PORT WING, Wis. -- The Proctor Padres defeated the Port Wing Boilers in an Upper 13 League baseball game.

Proctor scored a run in the first inning when James Ostrander led off with a walk, advanced to second base on a groundout and scored on an RBI single by Dan Solarz. The Padres scored again in the third inning when Matt Chruscielski singled, advanced on a passed ball, and scored on a error following a single by Tim Nylund.

Port Wing tied the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning on three consecutive hits.

Proctor broke the tie in the fifth inning when Solarz reached safely on an error and scored on another error, again after a single by Nylund. Corey Pavlich hit an RBI single in the sixth, scoring Cody Dolsen. Proctor added another run in the ninth: Ostrander singled, was moved to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Pavlich, and scored on an RBI double by Solarz.

Winning pitcher Anthony Bush threw all nine innings for his fifth complete game of the season. He allowed two runs on seven hits and one walk. He had nine strikeouts. Bush retired the side in order in the fourth, fifth and ninth innings.

Solarz and Nylund had three hits each, and Ostrander and Chruscielski added two apiece. Solarz had two RBIs.

Proctor is now 1-10 in the Upper 13 League. Port Wing finishes their league schedule with a 1-11 record. Proctor will play against first-place Oulu next Sunday at Oulu for their last league game.
