News '09: C&S Design Sweeps Proctor

ASHLAND, Wis. -- The Proctor Padres lost both games of a doubleheader 5-2 and 15-0 against Ashland C&S Design in two Upper 13 League baseball games. 

The Padres committed five errors and had 11 runners left on base in the first game. Losing pitcher Anthony Bush (0-3) pitched the complete game. He allowed two earned runs on seven hits and two walks. He had five strikeouts. Corey Pavlich and Chris Musolf had two hits apiece for Proctor.

Proctor was the home team in the second game. Losing pitcher Bryan Darst (0-1) made his Padres debut. Ashland scored nine runs in the second inning on four hits, four walks, one hit batsman and two errors. Matt Lloyd pitched the final three innings. Ashland scored one run in the third inning and tacked on five runs in the fourth on no hits, five walks, one hit batsman and two errors. Proctor was held to three hits.

Ashland C&S Design improves to 3-1 in league play and Proctor falls to 0-2. The Padres are back in action on Mon., May 25 when they travel to Hermantown to take on the Superior Lakers at 1:30.
