Jake Lewis is the club's Cy Young Award winner for the top pitcher for the third year in a row. Lewis led the club in seven statistical categories: wins (5), innings pitched (72.1), strikeouts (86), games started (10), complete games (5) lowest hits per nine innings (H/9, 8.71), and highest strikeouts per nine innings (K/9,10.70).
He tied the club's single-season records for wins and strikeouts. Anthony Bush and Jesse Olson each had five wins in 2012, and Bush also had five wins in 2015. Chris Vendela had 86 strikeouts in 2011.
Lewis was at his best in Upper 13 League games, where he posted a 4-1 W-L record and a league-leading 57 strikeouts. His four wins tied Ashland's Bob Tyndall for the league leadership. Lewis is likely to win his second consecutive Upper 13 League Most Valuable Pitcher Award.
Lewis tossed a three-hit shutout in the Dukes' 6-0 win over Chequamegon on July 31, which cemented the club's second-place finish in the league standings and a fifth consecutive WBA Playoffs berth.
He was the tough-luck losing pitcher in the first-round playoffs loss to Whitehall on Aug. 13 at Haugen. Whitehall won, 4-3, on an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Lewis had held the Wolves scoreless since the first inning.
