08/17/2016 - 2016 Team Awards: Comeback Player of the Year

The Duluth-Superior Dukes Comeback Player of the Year Award is presented annually to players who have re-emerged on the field during the season. The award is modeled after the American and National League awards of the same name, which debuted in 2005.

The Dukes' 2016 Comeback Player of the Year is Peyton Flanders. As a rookie in 2015, Flanders played in nine games and batted .148 (4 for 27). In 2016, he played in 17 games and batted .265 (13 for 49), with a triple and a home run. He had five multi-hit games in 2016.
