Travis Bartlett and Jimmy Merling are the Dukes' co-MVP Award recipients for 2015.

Bartlett led the team in batting (.400), games (24, tied with Merling), hits (32), doubles (seven), RBI (20), and sacrifice flies (six). Merling led the team in on-base percentage (.451), slugging percentage (.548), games (24, tied with Bartlett), plate appearances (102), at bats (84), runs (29), triples (three), home runs (two), total bases (46), stolen bases (12), walks (18), strikeout percent (4.8), and walks per strikeouts (4.50).

Bartlett set new team single-season records for RBI and sacrifice flies. His .400 batting average ranks second on the club's all-time single-season records, as does his 32 hits, seven doubles, and two triples. His .538 slugging percentage and 43 total bases both rank third.

Merling set new team single-season records for runs, triples, strikeout percent, and walks per strikeout. His slugging percentage ranks second on the team's all-time list, as do his home run, total bases, and walks tallies. His six doubles are tied for third, and his stolen base total is third best. His on-base percentage ranks fourth as does his hits (28). His batting average (.333) ranks fifth and plate appearances are tied for fifth.

Bartlett began the season with a seven-game hit streak, with at least one RBI in that same span. He had 10 multi-hit games and had back-to-back three-hit games in the weekend of June 20-21.

Merling also had 10 multi-hit games. He was 4-for-6 with a double, a triple, three runs, and an RBI in the Dukes' 4-2 win in extra innings at Ashland on June 21. He was 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBI, including a walk-off three run home run, against the Ashland Merchants at Bulldog Park in Duluth on July 12. Merling had nine put outs as the center fielder in the 17-inning playoffs game on August 8.

Both players completed their sophomore seasons with the Dukes. Merling collected both his second team MVP and Silver Slugger awards. He was last year's Rookie of the Year and Gold Glove award winner. Bartlett has taken the team's Mr. Versatility award both seasons. He was also one of this year's Comeback Player of the Year award recipients.
