Trenton Moe is the team's Gold Glove Award recipient as the top defensive player for 2015. Moe led the team in total defensive chances (TC) and put outs (PO). His 167 TC ranks second in the club's all-time single-season records, and his 149 PO ranks third, but both are team records for a catcher as the higher tallies were for first basemen. Moe's fielding average was .976 (.981 as a catcher, which included 14 assists). He was an ironman behind the plate with a penchant for gunning down potential base stealers, and he made a couple diving catches as an outfielder. He caught both ends of doubleheaders on a few occasions and he was the backstop for the entire 17-inning playoffs game.
